- Expand access to childcare. Research shows that in Maine, 70% of children under the age of 6 have parents in the workforce.
- Increase mental healthcare to help Maine’s children.
- Expand preventive care to assist families and prevent child abuse and maltreatment.
- Ensure all families and children have affordable health coverage.
Housing
- Support affordable housing while respecting local control
- Address homelessness and its underlying causes. The current system is broken.
Education
- Increase tech teachings in schools and universities. Maine doesn’t have enough coders and engineers to meet the demands of today’s technological world.
- Increase trade and vocational educational programs in Maine’s high schools.
- Support our kids, teachers, and parental rights.
Public Assistance
- Ensure public assistance system is strong for those who need it while incentivizing personal independence and personal growth for able bodied persons.
- Protect both taxpayers and those who truly need public assistance by cracking down on fraud and abuse.
Provide Quality and Affordable Health Care for Seniors
- Protect our vulnerable seniors by increasing the funding and reimbursement rates at nursing homes and long-term facilities.
- Reduce health care costs. Recognize health care workers and medical licenses from other jurisdictions.
